Tidbits

Hint for Eclipse users:
**Thanks to Wanda Buckner for figuring this out!!!

To set up a blank stroke like I described in the last post, in your definition use: {NULL}

digitalCAT users just leave your entire dictionary entry box blank. You will get a pop-up box that asks you if you want to make a blank entry. Answer yes.

If anyone on the other software has special instructions for the blank stroke, please let us know!

Question:

What happens if your computer crashes and you're asked to read something back?

That happened to me with the 8000LX. I didn't have it in disk mode (don't ask me why) so I couldn't scroll up on the screen on my machine, and therefore could not read a question back. It's been giving me nightmares.

So what would you do if that happened with the Light Speed?

It looks great! That's the only thing that worries me, though. Talk about having a heart attack.

If I had a computer crash and could not recover, I would inform all present that the crash ocurred, that I can keep writing but don't have readback ability. They could choose to adjourn if they wanted, but I would bet they wouldn't.
