It's been a long delay, but the new LightSpeeds are finally being received by the customers. My friend Mary received hers today and came straight over to play!
There are added ridges that were not on the prototypes we had at the NCRA convention in August, and I think they're a good improvement.
Other things I learned today:
The blue light does not come on unless something has gone wrong with your SD card. Previously, it flashed when you turned on your writer and when the LS was saving to disk.
If you pop out the SD card, the writer turns off and pops a message up on your computer screen, so you know that it's popped out. Previously there was no notification if it popped out. You just pop it back in, turn on the writer, and continue.
There is a new GUI with the writer which I have not explored completely. More on that later!
